ClockPiano is an exciting new way of using your iOS device as a 21st Century music instrument that can share your performances over an Social Media.

A compact user interface allows you to master music in a way totally unique to the ClockPiano. Using simple interfaces for Major, Minor, Blues, Pentatonic and other scales you can learn how to make music in any genre.

With the record and playback facility and the CPZip language enables the music you perform to be converted into a text format that can be sent via Twitter, Facebook or Email.

You can convert your music to a QR code format and use this to enable others to experience your "talents".

The ClockPiano is also available on our web page www.clockpiano.com which provides a limited range of the capabilities of the iOS App.

Music recorded on the ClockPiano is replayed on our web page www.cpzip.com which shows a QR-code image and a music score of your recording.

The main features of ClockPiano are that it works on any size of screen either in an iOS device or as a web page projected in the classroom.

By making the "play" surface a circle with concentric rings for each octave we can set the "Key" to be any of the standard 12 chromatic notes C,C#,D,Eb,E,F,F#,G,Ab,A,Bb and B.

The first octave can be as low as the lowest C and the range can be up to 10 Octaves giving a 121 playable notes on the same surface.

By rotating the circular "play" surface you can set the Key to be in any of the "modes" to enable differs styles of play to be achieved.

The "play" surface can also be set to have a reduced number of sectors from the usual 12 of the chromatic range. Standard seven note arrangements can be used for the DoReMe spectrum eliminating the sharp and plat notes. Or for even easier playing we can reduce the surface to just three sectors, Root(note 1),Sub-Dominant(note 4), Dominant(note 5) and the centre the top octave note.

Pentatonic, Blues and Pop music interfaces are also included to make it easy to pick out your favourite song on the smallest of interfaces.

In Chord mode the ClockPiano can be set to the "standard" chord arrangement Major, Minor,Minor,Major,Major,Minor and Diminished which covers a huge range of music genres. Alternatively the ClockPiano can be set to specific chord sets for each concentric ring allowing alternative chord sets to be included.

Using the FluidSynth GM sound font a range of 128 instruments are available plus a decent percussion sound.

The ClockPiano also includes a "layer" mode which allows you to combine two instruments at the same time so that a richer sound can be generated. The "layer" sound can be adjusted by up to 3 octaves above or below the main instruments.

The ClockPiano also includes a "split" function which allows the outer rings to be set to a completely different instrument which gives you the opportunity to say playa base line alongside your main chords.

The ClockPiano is designed to give a whole new way to learn and communicate music. It is based on the "theory" of music applied in a way which is completely neutral and unthreatening.

Users of all aged and abilities will find that they can play music with an absolute minimum level of ability.
